We are delighted to announce that we’ve been invited by the artist and author Darren Coffield to hold a regular writers’ salon at the Colony Room Green, 4 Heddon Street, Regent Street W1B 4BS. Our initial event will be on Monday 9th September 7.30pm onwards and it is free to join us to listen to our authors read aloud from their work.
Martin Nathan and I will be reading from our work. Some of the Story Radio writers who have confirmed they are going to read are Kristin Burniston and Simon Roberts. Darren Coffield, author of Queens of Bohemia, is also going to read and answer a brief Q&A for the podcast.
The Colony Room Green is a brilliantly detailed and evocative recreation of the legendary drinking club in Soho by Darren, who has written a book about its long and louche history. You will find some wonderful art, cartoons and memorabilia on the walls and drinks at 1990s prices. Just one thing – remember that using mobile phones is frowned on.
